Reindeer Hunting in Iceland with professional guides - Iceland Hunting

In Iceland there are about 6.200 Reindeer before the hunting season starts in middle of July.
The Reindeer are doing well in Icleand and the number has been increasing for the last 25 years. Reindeer hunting is a magnificent experience in the extra ordinrary landscape of this volacinc island. The Icelandic reindeer only live wild.
The total licene for hunters are abotu 1330 each year and most of them are allocated to local hunters.Because of that we can olnly arrange reindeer hunt for 15-20 reindeer hunters from abroad.

Hunting Season: From July 15 to September 15.

The Hunt: On the east part of Iceland in mountains ore in beautiful surroundings. We offer only the best professional guides available. The guides are local people that knows their hunting grounds better than anybody else.

What to bring: Rifles of caliber 243 or 6.5 – 8mm are fine for this kind of hunt. Warm clothing and underwear, rain and wind gear and good hiking boots.
Temperatures can vary from 0° -4° centigrade, but generally the temperature is +5 to +10 centigrade, except in the early morning, when it can be colder.

Program: It wil be tailor made according to you wishes. Accommodation and catering will be of highest quaility. Our guide will be with you for the whole tour and we will make sure that you have one of the experiences of your life. To do this kind of hunt, we estimate that you will have to stay at least 3-4 days in Iceland.

Special Service: We offer to take the hunt, fillet the birds and vacuum pack the meat for the hunters to take with them home.
